Sheoli Care

Silver that stays
bright for years.

Caring for your silver

A little care, a little longer.

Your Sheoli jewellery is made to be worn and enjoyed.
A few simple habits can help preserve its finish, shine and beauty for longer.

  1. 1
    Wear
    • Put your jewellery on last and take it off first.
    • Let perfumes, moisturisers and cosmetics dry on the skin before wearing.
    • Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping.
    • Avoid prolonged exposure to water, excessive sweat, chlorine, cleaning products and chemicals.
    • Handle plated and delicate pieces gently, especially rings, bracelets and bangles that experience more friction.
  2. 2
    Wipe
    • After wearing, gently wipe your jewellery with a soft, dry cloth or muslin cloth.
    • Avoid vigorous rubbing, especially on gold-plated, rose-gold, rhodium or oxidised finishes.
    • Keep your jewellery completely dry before storing.
  3. 3
    Store
    • Store pieces separately in their Sheoli pouch or box to minimise scratches and friction.
    • Keep jewellery away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture.
    • If your 925 silver jewellery will not be worn for an extended period, store it clean and completely dry in a low-air-exposure pouch or zip-lock. This helps limit exposure to air and moisture and can slow tarnishing.
A little something to know
925 Sterling Silver

Natural tarnishing is a characteristic of silver. It can vary with moisture, sweat, skin chemistry and the environment. Regular wear does not necessarily cause silver to blacken.

Gold & Rose Gold

These are surface finishes, and their longevity can vary with friction, moisture, sweat, skin chemistry, perfumes, cosmetics and other exposures. Some Sheoli pieces have a protective coating to help improve durability.

Rhodium

Rhodium gives silver a bright, polished finish. Gentle handling and protection from moisture, chemicals and friction can help maintain its appearance.

Oxidised Silver

The darker finish is intentionally created and may naturally become lighter over time, particularly on areas that experience more contact or friction.

Gemstones, Pearls & Other Stones

Handle gently and protect from impact, excessive force, chemicals, prolonged moisture and abrasive cleaning. Natural stones and pearls may have variations in colour, texture, pattern or inclusions; these are part of their natural character.

Keep it gentle

Avoid toothpaste, lemon, vinegar, baking soda, salt, bleach, abrasive powders, scrubbing or other unverified cleaning hacks.

Do not use generic jewellery-cleaning liquids unless they are confirmed to be suitable for that particular piece, as some cleaning methods can damage plating, rhodium, oxidised finishes, protective coatings or stones.

For deeper cleaning or if you’re unsure how to care for a particular piece, please reach out to us. We’re happy to help.

Keep each piece in its Sheoli pouch or box.
