Warranty Policy
At Sheoli, our jewellery is crafted in 925 sterling silver and finished with care. Our jewellery may feature plain sterling silver, rhodium, gold, rose gold or oxidised finishes, along with gemstones, pearls and other decorative stone materials.
Sheoli jewellery is made to be worn regularly. Every Sheoli jewellery piece is covered by a 6-month limited warranty from the date of delivery against genuine manufacturing and workmanship defects, subject to the terms of this Warranty Policy.
Different metals, finishes and materials have different characteristics. Please also refer to our Jewellery Care Guide for recommendations on wearing, cleaning and storing your jewellery.
1. What Our Warranty Covers
During the 6-month warranty period, Sheoli may cover genuine defects attributable to manufacturing or workmanship, including, where applicable:
- Structural or construction defects;
- Defective clasps, links, closures or other components attributable to manufacturing;
- Defects in the setting or attachment of gemstones, pearls or other stone materials attributable to manufacturing; and
- Eligible plating or finishing defects as described below.
All warranty claims are subject to review and verification by Sheoli.
2. 925 Sterling Silver
Plain 925 sterling silver jewellery is covered against genuine manufacturing and workmanship defects.
Sterling silver may naturally develop tarnish or oxidation over time due to exposure to air, moisture, sweat, skin chemistry and environmental conditions. Natural tarnishing or oxidation is a characteristic of sterling silver and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
3. Rhodium Finish
Rhodium is a surface finish applied to sterling silver to provide a bright, polished appearance and additional protection.
Rhodium may gradually change or wear in areas exposed to frequent contact or friction. Prolonged exposure to moisture, sweat, perfumes, cosmetics or chemicals may accelerate deterioration of the finish.
Finish deterioration attributable to such exposure or to care contrary to the Sheoli Jewellery Care Guide is not covered under the warranty.
Abnormal or premature deterioration attributable to a manufacturing or finishing defect may be considered under the warranty, subject to inspection.
4. Gold & Rose Gold Plating
Plating of 1 Micron or More
Where gold or rose gold plating is 1 micron or more, the plating is covered against premature or abnormal plating defects during the 6-month warranty period, subject to this Warranty Policy.
Some gold and rose gold jewellery may also feature a protective e-coating. E-coating is an additional protective layer intended to help improve the durability of the finish during everyday wear.
E-coating does not make the plating permanent or immune to changes over time. Its effectiveness and longevity depend on factors including wear, friction, moisture, sweat, skin chemistry and exposure to perfumes, cosmetics and chemicals.
Finish deterioration attributable to such exposure or to care contrary to the Jewellery Care Guide is not covered.
Flash / Light Plating Below 1 Micron
Some Sheoli designs may feature flash or light gold/rose gold plating of less than 1 micron.
These pieces remain covered by the 6-month warranty against genuine manufacturing and workmanship defects.
Because flash/light plating is a thinner surface finish, its appearance may be more sensitive to prolonged exposure to water or moisture, excessive sweat, perfumes, alcohol-based products, cosmetics, chlorine, cleaning agents and other chemicals.
Fading, discolouration or loss of flash/light plating attributable to such exposure or to care contrary to the Jewellery Care Guide is not covered under the warranty.
Sheoli jewellery is designed for regular wear. Following the Jewellery Care Guide can help preserve the finish and extend its life.
5. Oxidised Silver
Oxidised silver has an intentionally darkened or antique finish.
The appearance of an oxidised finish may naturally become lighter or change over time, particularly on raised or frequently contacted areas.
Natural or exposure-related changes to an oxidised finish are not considered manufacturing defects.
The 6-month warranty continues to cover genuine manufacturing and workmanship defects.
6. Gemstones, Pearls & Other Stone Materials
Sheoli jewellery may feature natural gemstones, precious or semi-precious stones, pearls, lab-created or synthetic stones, and other decorative or ornamental stone materials, depending on the design.
The warranty may cover defects in the setting or attachment of such stones where the issue is attributable to manufacturing or workmanship.
Natural gemstones, pearls and other natural materials may vary in colour, tone, pattern, texture, clarity, inclusions and overall appearance. Such inherent characteristics are not considered defects.
The warranty does not cover accidental chipping, cracking, scratching or loss of a stone resulting from impact, dropping, snagging, excessive force, improper handling or other external causes.
Where the nature or composition of a particular stone is relevant to the product, the applicable product description will provide the relevant information.
7. What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover damage or deterioration attributable to:
- Accidental impact, dropping, snagging or excessive force;
- Scratches, dents, bending or other physical damage;
- Improper handling or storage;
- Prolonged exposure to water or moisture;
- Prolonged or excessive exposure to sweat;
- Perfumes, fragrances, alcohol-based products, cosmetics, lotions or creams;
- Chlorine, cleaning products or other chemicals;
- Swimming, bathing or showering;
- Failure to follow the Sheoli Jewellery Care Guide;
- Natural tarnishing or oxidation of sterling silver;
- Natural changes to an oxidised finish;
- Exposure-related deterioration of plated or other surface finishes;
- Accidental damage, chipping or loss of gemstones, pearls or other stone materials;
- Natural or inherent characteristics of gemstones, pearls or other stone materials;
- Resizing, alteration, repair or modification by a third party;
- Unauthorised repair or servicing;
- Misuse or abnormal use; or
- Products purchased from unauthorised sellers or sources.
Customised or personalised products remain subject to the warranty for genuine manufacturing or workmanship defects, unless otherwise stated for the specific product.
8. Jewellery Care
Regular wear itself does not void the warranty.
However, proper care is important for preserving the appearance and longevity of jewellery, particularly plated and oxidised finishes.
Please refer to the Sheoli Jewellery Care Guide for detailed recommendations.
In general, we recommend protecting your jewellery from prolonged exposure to water and moisture, excessive sweat, perfumes, cosmetics, chlorine and chemicals.
Warranty eligibility may be affected where damage or deterioration is reasonably determined to have resulted from care or exposure contrary to the Jewellery Care Guide.
9. How to Make a Warranty Claim
To raise a warranty claim, please contact:

Phone / WhatsApp: +91 8792575552
Please provide:
- Your order number or proof of purchase;
- A description of the issue; and
- Clear photographs of the affected jewellery.
Where necessary, Sheoli may request additional photographs, a short video or the physical product for inspection.
An unboxing video is not mandatory for a warranty claim.
10. Warranty Assessment
Warranty claims are subject to review and, where necessary, physical inspection.
Sheoli may consider:
- The nature and extent of the reported issue;
- The condition and age of the jewellery;
- The metal and finish used;
- The applicable plating thickness, where relevant;
- Whether a protective e-coating is present, where applicable;
- Whether the issue is consistent with a manufacturing or workmanship defect; and
- Whether external exposure, use or care may have contributed to the issue.
Submitting a warranty claim does not automatically mean that the claim will be approved.
11. Warranty Resolution
If a warranty claim is approved, Sheoli may, subject to applicable law and product availability:
- Repair the jewellery;
- Replace it with the same or an equivalent product; or
- Provide another appropriate resolution where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.
If the same product is unavailable, Sheoli may offer an equivalent product or another appropriate resolution.
The resolution will depend on the nature of the issue and the circumstances of the claim.
12. Warranty & Returns Are Separate
The warranty period is separate from the return and exchange period. Returns and exchanges are governed by our Return & Exchange Policy.
A product that is outside the applicable return or exchange period may still qualify for warranty coverage if the claim is made within the 6-month warranty period and the issue falls within this Warranty Policy.
13. Proof of Purchase & Authorised Sales Channels
Warranty claims may require reasonable proof of purchase, such as an order number, invoice or other evidence that the product was purchased from Sheoli or an authorized Sheoli sales channel.
Warranty coverage applies to genuine Sheoli products purchased directly from Sheoli or through authorised Sheoli sales channels.
14. Changes to This Warranty Policy
We may update this Warranty Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our products, services or applicable legal requirements.
The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Any changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by applicable law.
